Categories of data processed

• Technical browsing data (e.g. IP address, technical logs, user agent).
• Data voluntarily provided through the contact form (name, contact details, content of the message).

Purposes and legal basis

• Responding to requests and enquiries: performance of pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest.
• Security and proper functioning of the website: legitimate interest of the controller.
• Compliance with legal requirements: legal obligation, where applicable.

Methods of processing

Data are processed using appropriate electronic and organisational tools, with technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk.

Data retention

• Requests submitted through the contact form: up to 12 months, unless further needs connected with the request arise.
• Technical log data: in accordance with the technical retention times of the hosting and security provider.

Recipients and processors

Data may be processed by technical providers appointed as data processors, including:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting/CDN and infrastructure security).
• FormSubmit (forwarding and technical handling of contact form messages).
• Google Fonts (delivery of fonts from Google servers).

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer takes place in compliance with the safeguards provided for in Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

Rights of the data subject

The data subject may exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, by writing to info@alteralab.it.

It is always possible to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
